Barbara was in my china painting class for about a year or so.  She has a busy life and went on to pursue other interests in art.  She is an avid plein-aire painter and paints outside with a group of like-minded artists every week.  As a result, she has created many, many wonderful paintings from locations visited on the west side of the Big Island of Hawaii.

I still see Barbara in the weekly watercolor class we attend together.  I am sorry that, although Barbara did many china paintings while taking classes from me, I did not think to photograph any besides this tulip vase.  Barbara, like me, enjoys painting animals the best.  She did a wonderful painting of a panther or mountain lion on a rectangular vase, but I never got a photo of it.
